Tickets go on sale Wednesday January 13 at 10am PST. This special
edition of the JRS has all the info you need to have the smoothest
Ticket Launch Day ever. Read on, and learn how to do everything right
to ensure that you purchase your tickets like a cool, easy breeze,
then go on to enjoy the rest of your day, aglow with the knowledge
that you are the proud owner of a trip to Burning Man in the summer of
2010.

BURNING MAN 2010 TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets for Burning Man 2010 go on sale on Wednesday, January 13 at
10am PST. All the info you need to know to prepare yourselves for
that auspicious day of glory can be found on our ticketing page:

We STRONGLY recommend you take the time RIGHT NOW to read through that
entire page. It tells you how to prepare your computer, your web
browser, your payment method, your psyche, your lasagne and more ...
everything you need to know to GET READY for tickets to go on sale.
There's even the opportunity to TEST your web browser to make sure
it's configured properly to purchase tickets through our system. See
what we're sayin' here? Make like Scout. Be prepared. Don't get
caught with your pants down, unless you're into that kinda thing.
Now, every year there's a big crush of people hammering at the site to
get the cheapest tickets possible (our systems will be ready for the
onslaught), and people get their panties in a twist. In light of that,
indulge us while we take a moment to offer the following gentle
reminders:
a) If you don't end up getting one of the cheapest tickets, it's only
a little bit more money we're talkin' about here, and (trust us)
you'll completely forget about it when you're standing on the playa,
basking in the mind-blowing wonder that is Black Rock City ... and,
b) in the spirit of supporting our (economically diverse) community,
we really do encourage you to purchase the highest priced ticket you
can afford, as it leaves (and subsidizes) the cheapest tickets for the
folks who need them most. It's all about the love, people.
c) If you're not gung ho to get the cheapest tickets, and want to save
yourself all the anxiety, just wait until later in the day once the
mad rush slows down. You'll be able to breeze right on through, stone
cold.
So, take a moment to consider that ... breathe, and chill. And then go
get your tickets!

OFFICIAL COMMUNICATIONS ON TICKET LAUNCH DAY
On Ticket Launch Day, the Burning Man ticket team and supporting cast
sit around the office in their pajamas (yes, really ... it's a
tradition) and wolf down waffles and other breakfast goodies while
working hard to keep YOU, the ticket-buying public, informed about the
latest updates and status with the launch.

DUPLICATE TICKET ORDERS - DON'T BOTHER
As you'll notice on http://tickets.burningman.com, First and Second
Level tickets are limited to 2 tickets per person. Now, some people
try and get clever and purchase a second set of tickets by changing up
their personal information a little in an attempt to fool the system
(tsk tsk). But here's the thing: every ticket order is reviewed by a
human, and we just cancel the second order.
We limit the number of tickets per person to give as many people as
possible access to First and Second Level tickets. It's a fairness
thing. So anyway, it won't work, and it just makes extra work for our
ticket crew. So, please don't bother.
